Anderson Hydraulics: A Journey of Growth and Commitment
In 1994, Neil Anderson established Anderson Hydraulics, initially serving the hydraulic ram needs of the local farming and plant hire community. Over time, the company expanded its services to include the repair of excavator and dump truck cylinders for the UK and Scottish Coal Open Cast Mining industries. Today, Anderson Hydraulics addresses the cylinder repair requirements of major OEMs and manufactures aftermarket CAT 6030 and 6018 cylinders, which are distributed globally.
Anderson Hydraulics rapidly became one of the UK’s leading workshops for hydraulic ram repair and manufacturing, later enhancing its capabilities with a re-chroming facility.
In 2025, David Jefferies announced the acquisition of Anderson Hydraulics (Doncaster) Ltd, along with its sister company, Abrahone Engineering, following Neil Anderson’s retirement. These two entities have been integrated into the newly formed Anderson Engineering Group, which includes JL Focus and Penair Medical. The group’s headquarters are located at the Anderson Hydraulics factory and offices at Heritage House, Rotherham.
David Jefferies (CEO of Anderson Engineering Group) stated in a press release that, as part of our future plans, we intend to integrate an additional related engineering business into the group shortly. This will further enhance our range of products and services.
